QA Engineer

Atlantic Casting and Engineering is a leader in precision casting and engineering solutions for aerospace, automotive, and defense industries. We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure product accuracy.
• Lead First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete necessary documentation.
• Use AS9012 for First Article Inspection Reporting and AS13002 for developing inspection frequency plans.
• Apply APQP or PAPP processes to prepare products for production.
• Utilize conventional measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• CMM experience and/or programming is a plus.
• Perform RCCM (Root Cause Counter Measures) to resolve quality issues.
• First Article Setup Inspection experience required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and AS9012/AS13002 standards.
• Experience with APQP or PAPP and conventional measuring tools.
• CMM experience and programming knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
