Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or a related field OR equivalent boot camp and work experience.
• Basic Java development experience with a solid understanding of XML, relational databases (DBMS), HTML, JavaScript, and the Agile SDLC.
• Python scripting experience for writing automation scripts.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Bonus skills: Experience or familiarity with Linux, Unix, application monitoring, and Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Analyze applications and recommend best practices for clean, secure code and automated deployments.
• Write scripts to automate application deployments and optimize business and technical processes to reduce human error.
• Enhance DevOps procedures by automating processes and collaborating with DevOps engineers.
• Assist in migrating applications to a newly implemented AWS cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or a related field OR equivalent boot camp and work experience.
• Basic Java development experience.
• Python scripting experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
