Entry Level Data Engineer

Do you love solving puzzles, getting messy data to behave, or figuring out how things fit together? At InterWorks, as an Entry Level Data Engineer, you will learn to design and build data systems, wrangle various data sources, and create pipelines that empower insights. In this role, you will support designing and developing modern, scalable data pipelines, work with SQL, spreadsheets, APIs, and more to unify data, apply data modeling principles for both dashboards and data science projects, assist with ETL/ELT processes to improve quality and reliability, document your work carefully, and communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, you will collaborate with teammates and clients to determine and deliver what is needed, while constantly bringing curiosity, adaptability, and problem-solving to every project. You must have basic SQL skills, familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows, an understanding of data modeling, and strong communication skills. Nice-to-haves include exposure to cloud platforms, experience with ETL tools, familiarity with modern data warehouses, basic scripting knowledge, interest in software engineering or integration work, and curiosity about AI’s impact on data engineering. Location options include offices in Portland, OKC, Tulsa, or Stillwater, with remote work possibilities. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications.
