About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Architect with deep expertise in modern web technologies and hands-on experience designing and scaling Backstage.io developer portals. In this role, you will drive architectural decisions, define UI standards, and guide teams in building intuitive, performant, and scalable front-end solutions that improve developer productivity and platform experience.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and maintain the front-end architecture for large-scale, component-driven applications and internal platforms.
• Own the design, customization, and extension of Backstage.io, including plugins, scaffolding templates, and core UI patterns.
• Establish architectural standards, design principles, and best practices for front-end engineering.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to ensure a modern, secure, and maintainable front-end ecosystem.

Backstage.io Platform Ownership

• Lead the development and rollout of the organization's Backstage.io developer portal.
• Build custom Backstage plugins, APIs, and UI components to support developer workflows.
• Integrate Backstage with CI/CD systems, cloud platforms, catalog metadata, and internal tools.
• Ensure plugins meet performance, accessibility, and security requirements.
