Data Analyst – Predictive Sciences Group

Summary: This is a two-year, full-time contract role for a data analyst within the Predictive Sciences Group of a major biotechnology company. The position focuses on applying data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to research in drug immunogenicity and pharmacokinetics. The ideal candidate has a master's degree in a relevant field and a passion for independent, impactful research. The role is a collaborative one, working with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in the life sciences. The position is located in South San Francisco, CA, with flexible remote and hybrid work options.

DResponsibilities

• Conduct Research: Participate in cutting-edge research to predict the immunogenicity of protein-based therapeutics.
• Data Mining and Analysis: Perform data mining and literature review to extract information on drug immunogenicity from various sources, including publications and internal databases.
• Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement predictive models to solve complex problems related to the relationship between immune response and drug properties.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to advance research and project goals.
• Project Ownership: Take ownership of challenging and business-critical projects, from ideation to implementation.

eRequired Qualifications

• Education: A master's degree in a relevant field such as Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Pharmacy, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Experience: Demonstrated expertise in data mining, literature information extraction, and predictive modeling.
• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or R.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

sPreferred Qualifications

• A strong publication record and experience contributing to research communities.
• Experience working with large language models (LLMs) like Gemini or ChatGPT for text mining
