Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to join their Ads Platform Engineering team. The role involves evaluating and architecting scalable graph solutions, managing data governance, and contributing to the development of high-performance advertising systems.

Responsibilities

  • Experience evaluating and architecting scalable graph solutions, including integration with existing enterprise data platforms and an understanding of tradeoffs in performance and reliability
  • Familiarity with semantic data modeling and ontology design for complex entities, focusing on representing diverse relationships and enabling flexible data access and querying
  • Proficiency with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) and knowledge graph data management best practices, including data governance, quality assurance (e.g., duplicate resolution), and entity lifecycle management (e.g., merging, automated enrichment) for large-scale datasets
  • Broad knowledge of ad tech and advertising landscape, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends
  • Worked closely with ad operations to enable campaign setup, targeting, reporting, and advertiser needs
  • Developed many cloud-based applications and comfortable with modern programming languages (preferably object-oriented)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
